Let it Rain

I was reading a devotional by Vladimir Savchuk this morning and it said “If the earth doesn’t turn to repentance, heaven has no rain to give.”

As I read the above devotional, I started to envision the process of photosynthesis. Did you know that a plant that repents is “creeping” along the ground or “in a prostrate” position! Wow!!

Whenever you see something in the natural state, it is only there to help us understand the spiritual realm and how He works.

Everything, I mean EVERYTHING that God has allowed you to experience in your life (the good, the bad and the ugly) is simply there for this; to give you understanding, reveal his word, and ultimately his heart to you. He’s given you something tangible to relate the Bible to, which ultimately gives revelation and revelation brings transformation. He loves you that much! I’ll prove it in his word.

In Romans 1:20 TPT Paul says:

“Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse.”

Stick with me here, I’m going to go deep!

It’s time as Christians that we start going deep into a relationship with the Lord otherwise the width of our knowledge of him in pointless.

In II Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ it says:

“Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
‭‭

Notice this; it was God who stopped the rain. As Christians we are always blaming the enemy and rarely taking responsibility or realizing that it very well could be God himself bringing us into a place of humility and repentance.

Repentance simply means “to turn around” … that’s it. As simple as “I need to turn down this road…oh no wait, that other road is faster, I’ll go that way” – it’s a change of mind, a change of heart…a turn around.

We have to repent about how we deal with people that offend us. We have to repent of how we deal with people that frustrate us. We have to repent that God is bound to just our finite mindsets. We have to humble ourselves as individuals; every “Christian” wants to corporately cry out for God to heal their land (America) but there are so few who want to do the internal work for God to heal their land (their hearts).

America won’t heal until we heal as individuals.

I put the word Christian in quotes because there are many who just wear the badge, almost like a costume…the substance isn’t there, they just pretend to be a Christian on Wednesdays and Sundays!! They play dress up – – that stirs up a fiery passion in me, but that’s another blog for another day!

Maybe when God takes the rain away, it’s to create a desperation for the plants (us) and humility finally comes as we’re about to die and he revives us with his rain. But do we look at depression as God taking the rain away? No, we go to a doctor and get a pill that, come on, let’s be honest… they don’t work! I’ve taken them…I’ve been set free and I have the privilege to see so many set free from Psyche meds on a daily basis. You can read my About Me to know more of my testimony.

The truth is; you’re still depressed you still have ups and downs; why? Because you’ve gone to the wrong source, just like King Asa! Does this offend you? Good! Let it be offensive. Realize that is the enemy trying to have you NOT receive the truth! Let’s start seeing offense for what it is! So we can come to a place of repentance and desperation for the ONLY one who saves!

It’s not just depression that we run to other sources about; it’s anxiety, it’s addiction, not just to drugs but to pornography, to gossip, to drama! It’s saying that pot is ok because it’s “legal”. It’s relationships, sex… how about this one…our children! I’ll stop there, but the list goes on and on.

We have to open our own eyes and realize these “things” have become Baal or a little g-o-d in our life. They’ve become false gods that we think will satisfy, we think will give us our purpose, we think will “complete” us.

Come on people, let’s humble ourselves. Let’s look at us!!! Let’s grow up and take responsibility for ourselves instead of being victims and lazy, wanting to blame others and wait on them to “fix it” … then we will jump into the bandwagon.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of being a follower; I’m tired of following what society says is “wrong” with me, I’m tired of following NA/AA saying I’ll always be an addict, I’m tired of believing that 4th stage cancer is the end, I AM TIRED of following the worlds systems and you need to get tired of that too. We need an awakening! We need boldness in truth to override the lies that we have followed.

I don’t want to jump into a bandwagon anymore. I want to be a trailblazer!

I know you do too, it’s inside all of us because he created us in his image and he only has one image so we’re created the same! So I know you want to be a trail blazer too!

We need to start working on ourselves WITH him; then he will heal our land. Then we will see miracles, signs and wonders, then we will see greater works than Jesus did (greater in number) then we will see his heart, then he will return. He is simply waiting for us.

I’ll end with this interesting fact…

The Amazon Rain Forest actually has enough plants to create rain through photosynthesis. In case you don’t know, rain is caused through evaporation not through photosynthesis…oh but when enough of them are gathered together it creates RAIN! That’s a miracle.

If we gather together, become unified it what the rhema Word of God says, we will create the the rain that is needed to heal our land. It’s up to us.

I pray our heart posture is one of laying prostrate (just like the plants) before the Lord in sincere humility, only looking at our own lives and how we need to change to serve His Kingdom.

WE WILL SEE RAIN!

Let it Rain by Eddie James – take 15 minutes and let this song permeate your spirit. Pray WITH me for a generation of Christians to (here’s an oxymoron) Rise Up in Humility! Let’s grow up believers! He deserves it! And He’s waiting on us!
