“A controversy was brewing among the people, with so many differing opinions about Jesus. Some were saying, “He’s a good man!” While others weren’t convinced and insisted, saying, “He’s just a demagogue.” Yet no one was bold enough to speak out publicly on Jesus’ behalf for fear of the Jewish leaders.”
John 7:12-13 TPT
Yet no one was bold enough to speak out publicly on Jesus’ behalf …
That part breaks my heart and it should break yours as well. Right now in our society there are so many agendas that people open their mouth boldly for; even Christians are opening their mouth boldly for many agendas but are you opening your mouth boldly for His Kingdom?
Here’s an example, I went to a local bakery and asked the question to the lady behind the counter; “How are you?”
That can be a loaded question sometimes and this was one of those times.
The lady proceeded to tell me how she was hit by a car and no day is a good day anymore and how she doesn’t sleep; I didn’t allow her to continue, I simply waved her over to a side of the counter I could lay my hands on her. I didn’t ask her if I could pray with her, I asked her where she hurt. She showed me and I laid my hands on her back and began to pray Jesus’ healing over her body and mind. I asked for a peaceful night sleep and I told her that when she slept good for the first time in months, remember it was Jesus. My job is to plant his seeds. He will do the rest.
So many of us are worried about what others think that we don’t “open our mouth boldly to speak out publicly on Jesus’ behalf”
The world is sitting in fear, but as a Christian you should be different? Are you? Do you speak light into darkness?
You have the literal spirit of Jesus Christ inside of you and yet I observe most Christians cower in fear of other peoples opinions.
Many Christians disagree with the act of homosexuality or agendas like BLM but they sit back in silence because of fear of what “the world” will say back to them. But what will Jesus say to you?
I love the drug addict but I hate the sin they’re in, I love the homosexual but I hate the sin they’re in, I love the racist person but hate the sin they’re in.
Who will stand up and be bold for Jesus? I will, will you?
We all deal with the same fear that attacks our minds, but few will rise up in courage to say something. Few will rise up in boldness and face the voices of what society says. I refuse to bow down to society any longer. I refuse to bow down to fear. I refuse to bow down to insecurities, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or any other label that “society” has given me. If I bow down to these things, I am making them the lord of my life and they are not. Only Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life and he stands victorious.
The Bible says: “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Brothers and Sisters, we must open our eyes and see that we are placing other peoples, other agendas, other opinions above the Lords.
I pray for our eyes to be opened spiritually and for the Lord to move mightily in this nation. Ronald Reagan said “As soon as we forget that we are one nation under God, we are a nation going under”
So, Let’s not forget, let’s come together under Gods authority. In Jesus Name
